   I recently hosted a private party at this restaurant, and the experience was fantastic.    The food was so so, steak is raw and waitress did not ask me how it should be done. The dessert disappointing (too sweet and mediocre). With the price of the set lunch they offer, there could be much better food elsewhere. The choice are limited too. The coffee is not hot enough, the latte and also tea is hot and good. We chose the place because it was next to the Merry-go-round playground. We can go there to play after lunch . I used to love this place when they offer lobster bisque (one of the best). I think they may have changed chef. There is not enough waitress to serve. Only one charming lady but she needs to do everything.

   We came here for a birthday celebration with my wife. Upon arrival, the hostess accomodated our early arrival and we were seated immediately. Later on, there were leaks from the pipes at the top or the ceiling and we were seated somewhere else. The drinks and dessert were superb. Appetizer wasn't bad but the mains left a lot to desire. The burger was very dry and the steak had to be re-done since it came out to be medium well instead of medium rare

   The dinner was good. The servers were friendly. The price is good for the venue. The restaurant building is nice too. I would have given it a higher rating. But the dining experience was knocked off by a few things: 1) the air conditioning was broken during a hot summer night. 2) there are unsightly boxes and stuff piled up at the entrance and under the staircase, the dining room now looks like a cheap cafeteria. 3) They have a balcony upstair that is poorly maintained. Glass fence not cleaned, decorative rocks all over the place. I hope the management see this review and improve on these few things to make this is great restaurant again.

   Very bad experience. Food was tasteless, very expensive and totally not worth it, $30 for a kids menu! The staff was friendly.

   Pros Some of the appetizers were extraordinary. Others were quite good. Main dishes were very good. Vegetables were excellent. Our waitress was excellent. She was able to carry a conversation and was attentive to our table. The restaurant did recognized the special occasion that we were celebrating and compensated for the wine problems (see below) by not charging for some items. Cons The French fries would have been good but had so much salt it was difficult to eat them. Food presentation was average with the exception of one plate where the sauce looked like an attempt had been made to make it artistic on the plate by dragging a spoon through it. This attempt just made it messy. Wine by the Glass - Only one red wine, a Canadian, was available by the glass. Only two white wines, a Canadian and a German, were available by the glass. One would have expected at least one French and Italian wine would be available by the glass for both red and white wines especially as the wine list by the bottle was reasonable. Noise Level - There didn't seem to be sound muffling accessories and it was difficult at times to hear each other at the table. It was a fairly expensive evening and for the money we wouldn't have expected any of the problems listed above. We recommend the restaurant to others but advise them to check out the menu, wine list and prices before going.
