Always fantastic, attentive service. The food is delicious. We started with the bread service and the butter was so good. I could have just eaten the bread and been happy. It came out the kitchen piping hot, so hot I had to wait to eat it. Moved on to the Caribbean Jerk Quail - good appetizer portion, very flavorful and honestly it wasn't too spicy. Chef said its for all taste levels. Then moved onto the Laarb Duck served with sticky rice. I enjoyed the dish very much and it was a good portion size. You can make it super spicy. I think the Chatel Wagyu Coulotte Steak is still my hands down favorite. One of us got the Butternut Squash Bolognese and it was very good. You need to have bread with that one to enjoy the dish. Finished with the Coffee Panna Cotta and it was outstanding. Chef came to the table to say hello and ask how everything was. I love that!

Very nice restaurant with an interesting setup. Most seats can view the cooks that provide on-site entertainment. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable of the food. When served, the server highlighted the various unique things of the meal along with sourcing. Drinks were good, too. A nice feature was the owner coming to the table after the meal to answer any questions. The menu had a uniqueness to it and was very flavorful without being overpowering. Great spot for a date, great food, and engaging staff.

Great experience dining at The Alden. Excellent drinks, service and food. All of the dishes were made with fresh local ingredients, ad our server Chris went over everything that we ordered in details. Not only was the food delicious, the presentation was equally impressive. I would highly recommend giving them a try. We will definitely be back.

The Alden is a lovely restaurant with an exquisite menu that is not to be missed. It’s definitely a 5-star restaurant in an unassuming location with casual decor so don’t let that fool you. Everything comes out fresh and beautifully plated. We especially loved how our server explained each dish to us. We have dined here several times and will continue to dine here to keep trying new delicious and seasonal creations from the very talented chef who greeted us while there. This is one of my top recommended places to dine and I travel all over the world.

For the first time, my wife and I ordered from The Alden's a la carte menu. We usually do the chef's tasting menu. We split the quail appetizer which was amazing. She ordered the vegetarian mushroom "pasta" entree. I'm not big on vegetarian mains, but damn, it was "good as hell" as they say where I'm from. I had the chicken katsu with Chef's signature sweet chili sauce which would make a tire iron taste great. We split the panna cotta with orange blossom ice cream. Wow! The staff was prompt and engaging from the valet to the wait staff. If you haven't been to The Alden in a while, you definitely need to go.

The menu was very limited... only 7 entree selections...and a handful of starters. At first glance, none of the entrees seemed that appealing... I ordered the chicken, and my friend ordered the quail. The chicken resembled a fancy Chick-fil-A breast pounded flat. There was some "slaw," which was thinly shredded cabbage and carrot with no detectable dressing. The 'quail' dish, ordered at the waitress's recommendation, was barely recognizable as meat and totally tasteless. I started with the French onion soup, which was quite satisfactory. The waitress was very personable and attentive, and we both thought she did a good job. We went out for dessert elsewhere after dinner. The bill came to a little under $200, not a good value in hindsight. My friend echoed my thoughts about the meal.
