The high tea could use more savory sandwiches. The scones were decent but cold. The chocolate cupcakes and mini pumpkin pies were the most popular with our group. Overall it was fine, but not as amazing a some of the other high teas in Chicago.

We reserved a spot for the high tea on a Sunday afternoon 2:00. We were seated at a table to the left of the entrance that was directly in the sunlight, Because of the white table and the silverware it was almost impossible to look at the table because of the glare. The sunlight comes in from the upper widows that do not have blinds or drapery. We were told this is a common complaint for this specific table. I asked the hostess if we could move to another table, I was told there were none available. We opted to sit on the couch with a glass coffee table between the 5 of us. Not what we expected but we drove all the way into the city. Were were asked if we would like more finger sandwiches and we said yes. Later we learned there was an additional $30 charge. You get one small pot of tea per person, maybe 14-16oz. when we asked for more tea we were told at "high tea" there would be an additional pot of tea, however, we could add hot water to our already used (cold) tea bag. The cost for the tea was $73 per person w/tip.

Lovely atmosphere and we came as when I was there last, the service was impeccable. We were celebrating a 50th birthday at tea and they did not even acknowledge the birthday. We asked for more sandwiches as one of us did not like/eat the others offered and they said there would be a charge. At every other tea in the city, you get unlimited food items and tea so we were shocked when they told us we would be charged $2/ per extremely small sandwich. The service this go around was really underwhelming overall. Such a bummer as we had planned for a special birthday meal and celebration. We won’t return for tea there.

I had an awful experience at The Allis, largely due to the unprofessional and dismissive behavior of the manager - Gigi. From the start, she was rude and completely lacking in hospitality, making it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for her. To make matters worse, the food was overly salty, dry, and even burnt, which only added to the disappointment. However, the biggest issue was the lack of professionalism from manager. Her unprofessional behavior was completely inconsistent with Soho House trademark rights and membership policies, which emphasize professionalism and respect. If The Allis | Soho House values its reputation, they should consider placing someone in this role who truly cares about the guest experience—someone more polite, respectful, and dedicated to maintaining the restaurant’s high standards. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Booked a reservation for 4:30 Immediately when before I even sat down I was told she would be putting our food in right away because they close at 5. And the bar was closing at 4:30 so we had to put our drinks in right away (it was 4:26) long story short we left , don’t take 4:30 reservations if you are going to rush your customers
