As a special treat we love to visit The Angel... The setting is Really lovely and the staff are attentive without being oved the top. The food is served beautifully and looks and tastes amazing. Its expensive, but a lovely treat for special occasions

Lovely location, enjoyed a coffee and cookies before a walk flowed by a lovely tasting menu, I could have stayed and eaten another 5 courses!

Wonderful food at reasonable price. Friendly helpful staff. Definitely recommend The Angel. Will return,also fabulous scenery, great location.Can’t recommend enough.We had Hooting Owl Old Yorkshire gin in a martini..... delicious. Good parking. Will bring friends to experience this fab restaurant.

Absolutely delicious... beautifully presented food. Lovely food cominations. Nice atmosphere with lovely muted interiors. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. A real treat....

We have been visiting the Angel for 30 years but since it was taken over and refurbishment it's an even better experience. The decor is elegant and understated and perfectly in keeping with the location. The staff were charming and attentive and we even received a birthday card for one of our parry. The food was utterly sublime!! Will definitely return as soon as possible. 6 stars!!

Excellent meal, attentive staff. Loving the new look Angel- still traditional Yorkshire with a contemporary twist, fabulous open fires. We will definitely return and can highly recommend 😊

This last visit was probably the 50th meal I have had at the Angel. The refurbishment of the bar area has ripped some of the cosiness that was there before but is nevertheless very modern although our table was adjacent to the bar and could be affected by noise. We were the only table in use in this area so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. However my main issue is the food. Whilst my main course was cooked very well the amount of food provided in all 3 courses was quite minimal. For a cost of £210 for 3 people this did not signify great value.
