   We dined at lunch on New Year’s Day. 5 tables were occupied, yet it was noisy. We ordered the mushroom soup, which could have been hotter. The huitalacoche was delicious, but was cold and the dried meat was difficult to chew. My made to order omelet, on the other hand, was outstanding; I requested egg whites with mushrooms, spinach & jalapeños. The jalapeño was diced so that it was well-distributed, the spinach and the enoki mushrooms were each cooked in butter and added to the omelet separately so that every element was cooked perfectly. The service was phenomenal- coffee and water were refilled timely and our waiter was friendly but formal, unobtrusive but there as soon as we needed him. My elderly father complained that the men’s room wasn’t clean and that he had a hard time flushing the (automatic) toilet using the manual option. The ladies’ room was perfectly fine. The holiday decorations were plentiful and tasteful.

   The food and drinks were delicious. Service by our waiter was very slow and they seated us right by the kitchen door. Still overall a good experience.

   In the past couple of months I've noted a difference in the quality of mixed drinks from the bar. Last night we ordered several different kinds and we all felt that there was very little if any liquor in the drink. Cafe Annie used to have the absolute BEST cosmopolitans. This is the second time I've been that I actually sent the drink back and ordered something else. I'm just wondering what happened. I think for one they have lost their good bartenders. Also it to SOOOO long to get our drinks both times–and literally the place was nearly empty. They also charged my friend $150 for one of her drinks–clearly it was entered incorrectly and we caught it. This was one place that I craved during times away from home, but now with two bad experiences, it doesn't make you want to try again. Disappointed.

   The restaurant was not crowded today. The food and service were excellent. Everything down to the valet was perfect. It was the perfect place to have lunch and a conversation.

   Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Annie. The food and ambiance was excellent. The warmth of the entire staff was genuine and much appreciated. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

   Noise level was offputtingly loud until 9:30pm. Service was rushed. Food was very good. Overall not the gracious southern hospitality cafe Annie is known for.

    Went for Christmas Eve. Website said there would be a Christmas brunch as well as the regular menu available. There was no brunch. I went back and looked at the website and yes, indeed it was listed as brunch available but looked further and they had not corrected their website from last year. Food was fine. Server was slow though restaurant was not at all full. The ambience of the restaurant was barely festive with too large Christmas trees, one only partially decorated and there were dead flowers on the table. Disappointing.
