The Avery inspires all occasions—romantic and casual alike—fueled by the culinary creations of Michelin-­starred chef, Cal Elliott. Enjoy elevated classics inspired by French techniques. A warm & moody Gastro-Tavern, Tiner's Alley, is tucked in the back for cozy after-dinner cocktails and free billiards.     Thus was our first time at the Avery. Everything beat our expectations! The food! The remodel! The wait staff! We had the Duck Rillette appetizer. (Similar to a pate’) The pear endive salad was so unusual and exceptionally good. We all loved our entres’ as well. We had Sole meunière, Lamb Ragout, and Moules Frites. We highly recommend The Avery!!

    The staff at The Avery are beyond exceptional. We were greeted by Duane and Ada took care of our party once we were seated. The dining room was classic and lit perfectly. One complaint, the tables were so close together you couldn’t help but talk to your neighbors. At one point, a larger server was attempting to set a plate down on the table next to ours and brushed his rear against ours. I recommend making an earlier reservation to avoid the crowd. We started with the shrimp cocktail, would have liked some spice. Pear and Endive salad was amazing. Skip the Lobster Bisque. Lobster Cioppino was the clear winner of the night. Every single bite was perfect. The Beef Duo was good, but I feel like if the short rib had more sauce or a preparation that wasn’t dry, the dish would have been ten times better. Do not skip the soufflé.

    We had a lovely evening starting with a spring in your lounge. Our hostess seated us in the dining room once our table was ready. Our server was amazing as well as our meal. We will definitely be back in the near future and share with our friends.

    Returned here after too long a hiatus. Server Duane was excellent: courteous, efficient, knowledgeable. Expediters were speedy, but we did not feel rushed. Before—dinner drink at the bar took a while with overwhelmed bartenders doing the best they could, swamped with orders for special cocktails. (No Johnny Walker Black?!!?) Food was excellent, especially lobster bisque, but also ‘ceviche’. Moules/Frites ok, but should have come with some bread without up charge of $5. Fries underdone. Staff seated us at a cozy corner (round) table. The dining room feels a little crowded. Noise level tolerable for the two of us. If we’d been with friends we might have had trouble hearing each other without adding to the din. We will be back!

    The good was very good. We had the ravioli and lamb ragout. Excellent and reasonably priced. Our waiter was great. Just the right amount of attention to us. The ambiance is really warm and inviting. Great everyday or special occasion dining.

    Amazing service from the valet to our waiter! What an outstanding Christmas Eve dinner—fresh ingredients and flavorful especially the Lobster Cioppino. Everything was made to perfection, cocktails included. The interiors were absolutely gorgeous and so festive too. Already planning our next visit! Thank you for making our night so memorable!!
