The Bank is a charming new addition to Chorleywood, offering "delicious food" and "excellent service" in a beautifully renovated setting. While the atmosphere is lively, some areas can be noisy. The attentive staff and "gorgeous decor" make it ideal for special occasions. Parking can be a challenge, but the overall experience remains worthwhile.

Had a lovely evening and enjoyed being fussed over. Warm welcome, great service and food. Delicious cocktails and lovely touches like the welcome drink. I'll definitely be back.

Food was delicious and generous portions but service was poor. Not provided menus when sat at table, not asked about drinks for ages, not asked if wanted for more drinks, didn’t even know if was a dessert menu or coffee as never asked. Shame as food very good.

Lovely food. Nice dining room although the atmosphere could be greatly improved if they dim the bright lighting so that it’s not such a clinical environment to eat in.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival Building, decor, style was good. Food was okay, soft drinks choice were very limited. Can't help but feel this place is an upgrade from the local curry house for the non desi clientele. As a foodie Indian I've walked away quite disappointed. Sadly not GVFM by any means and have walked away feeling a little ripped off!

A first visit and enjoyed the whole experience. A friendly welcome and coats quickly dealt with, taken to a relaxing bar area upstairs. When we sat at our table, service, food and wine were excellent. Atmosphere and temperature (on a cold evening outside) were perfect. It’s an expensive night especially if drinking a lot - we will return.

Place looks great and well presented. Good to see a real ale on the menu. Sadly not available when ordered. Sat in side room off main area which was incredibly noisy. Food good but a little pricey for the quality when compared to the competition.

Dear Matthew, Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you liked the look and presentation of the place, and we appreciate your positive comments on the food. We’re sorry to hear the real ale was unavailable when you ordered and for the noise in the side room – we’ll work on improving this to create a more comfortable environment. We also value your input regarding pricing and will take it into consideration as we continue to refine our offerings. We hope to welcome you back soon and provide a more enjoyable experience. kind regards, Anupam

Bella excellent at waiting but others are clearly still getting up to speed. Building and decor is excellent. Drinks, starters were good value and generous and very well seasoned, superb. Mains were fine.

A mixed experience at The Bank. Poor first impression as the bar area was being used for families eating and the quite rude manager attempted to push us in to two poor tables - one by the door and the other by noisy children despite most of the restaurant being empty at that early time. This area could be great for pre dinner drinks. Initial service was slow but the menu very good and the food excellent with a good drinks menu. Quite expensive but with a few tweaks could be an excellent up market Asian restaurant in the area

Prawn and salmon starters were excellent. Less impressed with the fish curry that was made with coley, was ok. The bhindi dopiaza was nice. The ambiance is good and the decor looks great, a welcome addition to Chorleywood. Service was a little slow at times but friendly. Came to about £55 a head with only one drink so a little steep considering we had tea instead of dessert. Would go again but not for the fish curry!

Dear Baji, Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re delighted you enjoyed the prawn and salmon starters, as well as the bhindi dopiaza. We appreciate your thoughts on the fish curry and will certainly take that into consideration for future menu updates. We’re glad you liked the ambiance and décor, and we’re happy to hear you found our team friendly. We apologize if the service was a bit slow at times; we’ll work on improving this. We hope to welcome you back soon and look forward to providing you with an even better experience next time! kind regards Anupam

We were really looking forward to experiencing The Bank but left disappointed. Firstly, the ambiance in the dining hall was that of a canteen. Stark lighting and very noisy. The poppadoms are ridiculous. Complete with a small handful of neon prawn crackers and what looked like a teaspoon of the dips. We were offered a second basket which we declined but got charged for them anyway. The starters were not hot enough and we returned the broccoli as it was cold and congealed. The mains were slow to arrive- we were told the kitchen was very busy. Plates for the main course were bought out hot and after about twenty minutes, when no food had arrived I asked them to be taken away. I asked for the mains to be served hot and they did come out hotter than the starters but the food went cold very quickly. Four of us ate with two bottles of wine, £320. Not for the faint hearted. I’m afraid there are far better restaurants in the area and it will need to improve. Clearly a lot of investment has gone into The Bank but it will need to attract “ repeaters”. Sadly, that won’t be us for the time being.
