   Great food and setting. Competitvely priced for the area. Service good but a broader selection of after dinner options would be good incl liquor coffees. A broader drinks selection in general maybe.

   Excellent friendly service in atmospheric and lovely old pub surrounded by beautiful scenery. The food was delicious and home cooked, - and great value. I first visited this pub around 40 years ago, and have always made an effort to call in when I'm rarely in the are, and will definitely be in again in the not too distant future. A great afternoon well spent with family. Top marks all round!

   The main courses were excellent but two deserts with forced rhubarb from Yorkshire were raw and difficult to eat.

   Online menu didn't match the menu in the restaurant but the main courses were delicious and well presented. We were a little disappointed with the desserts.

    Good menu, with daily specials. Excellent choice of drinks. Food well prepared and sympathetically cooked. Will definitely be going again!
