   Had dinner here recently. The seafood is excellent as was the service. The atmosphere is informal but very respectable. Prices seem typical for Budapest. It was a very pleasant experience. We would eat here again on another visit to Budapest.

   Although the food was good : we had one lobster, 4 king prawns, 12 oysters, one green salad and one dessert, our evening was spoiled by a pretty outrageous service and a bill that came to 150 euros each! You have to order everything at the counter then you get served your food by incompetent and unfriendly waiters and at the end a service charge of 15%(!!!) is per default added to the bill! At 10pm we were trying to have a conversation and finish our wine but the 5 waiters were surrounding us to basically force us out and finish their shift early. Very unpleasant experience. I don’t recommend this restaurant

   Fish soup was fine. 110 EUR for a lunch for one person is a price you pay in Ney York or Paris. Service was great.

   This was my first time at a restaurant where they don’t allow you to sit until you choose your seafood. Fine, I chose octopus, prawns, and some fish. They weighed everything, but I only noted the weight of the octopus, which was 100 grams. However, when I received the receipt, it said 236 grams—clearly a lie. They did not provide any paper or proof when weighing the seafood. The service was mediocre, just like the atmosphere and the food. If someone recommends this place to you, make sure they show you the exact weight on paper before you agree. I later checked TripAdvisor and saw similar complaints—unfortunately, only after my visit. Your real order and the receipt are 2 different things, its a scam restaurant and food is not even worth the money.

   Great food - freshly cooked after choosing the seafood you want - truffle mash was incredible, as was truffle pasta, and creamed spinach - super friendly staff - Vivian was a great restaurant

    We loved the dinner we had at Bigfish. We were made to feel very welcome by the team who explained the menu and how to order. Choosing our fish from the cold bar was great and they had a good selection of fish and shell fish. The fish was cooked beautifully and the other dishes we ordered were delicious. We had their own brand Chardonnay which we enjoyed very much. A great experience with excellent food. I would highly recommend especially fish lovers
