Welcome to the Black Bull.
Tucked away in rural Lancashire, between cloud topped hills, green fields, rolling pastures, and lots of cows... sits The Black Bull Inn.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Old Langho, our stone building has been here since the 1500s. Steeped in history it has it's own warm welcome to travellers from far and wide.
Our menu is fresh, local and has a nice balance of those "pub classics" but brought up to date in modern and inventive ways.
Dog friendly in the bar area or garden, and plenty of cosy seating available in front of our roaring fires, in The Library, or in our gorgeous, beamed, renovated Fire Barn.

I am still thrilled to have 'found' the Black Bull almost four years ago... I have recommended to many, including to JJ Watt, and will continue to recommend! Well managed, great service and food quality is amazing!!

The 2 course menu at £34 per person is expensive for a soup and Sunday roast, especially when it's luke warm, Yorkshire pudding burnt and the meat tasted very dry. Lovely place and staff but disappointed in the quality and temperature of the food.

Second time visiting after the first time was so good we decided to try their Sunday menu.I had prawn cocktail to start which was just prawns with lettuce and a slice of bread with no butter. The lamb was beautiful and the veg was lovely, unfortunately the roast potatoes were very hard and the gravy was watery, I was not told about ham being an option until I heard another customer being told it was an option.

Excellent food, really friendly and efficient service. Slightly pricy but worth it for the overall experience.

A great deal of care has been taken with the decor; warm and welcoming.Missed a beat by not having the fire lit, cold and wet outside. Not much evidence of the chefs' talent on the menu ,standard pub offerings but my steak was very good.I question the price of an optional sauce, quite pricy. The only disappointment was my 'served with tomatoes and mushrooms' ; one small, but delicious mushroom and a half a tomato. I'm sure that they could have stretched to a whole tomato. My husbands pie was lovely but still at over £20 was a little pricey. I am not mean when it comes to eating out. The wine ( only glass each) was great. Would visit again though.

A warm welcome. Great choice of dishes on the menu which was well marked up for gluten free food which is important to us.

We had a fabulous Sunday dinner (platter for two). There was the perfect amount of food, without feeling overwhelmed. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken was perfect. The service was fabulous and we were checked on throughout. We will definitely be back!
