Welcome to the Black Bull.
Tucked away in rural Lancashire, between cloud topped hills, green fields, rolling pastures, and lots of cows... sits The Black Bull Inn.
Nestled in the picturesque village of Old Langho, our stone building has been here since the 1500s. Steeped in history it has it's own warm welcome to travellers from far and wide.
Our menu is fresh, local and has a nice balance of those "pub classics" but brought up to date in modern and inventive ways.
Dog friendly in the bar area or garden, and plenty of cosy seating available in front of our roaring fires, in The Library, or in our gorgeous, beamed, renovated Fire Barn.

Since Masterchef we wanted to sample the food here, after entering 20 mins early we were immediately shown to our table in the barn (we did want a drink at the bar but heyho) We ordered drinks that took a while to arrive( new staff member) and he forget the order so asked again, the drinks did arrive but were still not right, but we drank them!😬 We ordered our food from the actual owner of the pub. A lovely lady. The food was good but being totally honest didn’t blow us away as we had built our expectations on a much better menu that would perhaps showcase Daniel’s style (Masterchef winner) either a varied selection. There were a few dishes to choose from but I felt it was restricted to my overall taste. It’s tasty pub grub. Simple as that. The service was attentive, would we go again? Perhaps but it’s a good drive to get there from where we live. Overall a nice pub.

Nice pub in the Ribble valley, very busy on the evening we visited. Good choice on the menu and reasonable value. Unfortunately the main negative was the service which was very poor. The food took a long time to arrive and the we had to remind the waitress twice before receiving the drinks on both orders we made. Unfortunately the coffee never arrived and i had to cancel it as it hadn't arrived by the time we were ready to left. It was a shame as we were celebrating a special occasion

This was the second time we have visited The Blackbull and on both occasions the food has been excellent, however on our second visit we felt the service was poor. We found we had to chase drink orders, chase the dessert menu after waiting for 10 minutes and also felt we were sat for a long period of time with dirty plates. The staff were polite however seemed to not be as on the ball as our previous visit where the service was excellent.

We have been a few times now and we cannot fault The Black Bull, it's outstanding. We can't recommend it enough the food, staff & ambience is excellent. Just wished we lived near.

Veg very undercooked Scallops £10 extra. Very small portion in a very small dish. Not good value Service slow after main meal left waiting for drinks & desert order Would I go back - yes Would I recommend - yes Guys take on board comments - please

Food was absolutely delicious! All the staff are so lovely and couldn’t do enough for our 4 year old, such a nice, family friendly atmosphere. Can’t wait to visit again.
