   Mid February seating for evening dining. Booked for 6, showed up with 7, they kindly accomodated. The ambiance was nice but 2 elderly could not communicate because of the loudness of the pianist. Climate control was poor - too cold for 3 of the 7. Jackets were put back on. There was a mix-up and delay on the drink order. The appetizers shrimp and French onion soup were excellent. The Salmon was excellent. The Chicken Cordon Bleu Wellington reminiscent of a chicken pot pie. For a meal for 7 @ $330+, it was not worth the price. This was a first time experience for dinner dining for all 7. It’s hard to justify a return… but there were positives that cannot be dismissed. We will attempt again in the summer. Every venue is entitled to a second chance.

   The restaurant was literally freezing Excellent service ! Our waitress was outstanding Different salmon carpaccio than before and not quite as good . Filets were too small and overpriced

   Kitchen was very slow as we waited a long time for our entree.. seemed the place was a bit disorganized and understaffed. Food was good once it arrived.

   I grew up in the area and have always loved the Blennerhassett Hotel, especially the old brunch with omelette and waffle stations, but my dining experiences for this reservation (and for hotel room service the night before) were not good. Pros: The ambiance at Christmas time is lovely. There is live piano during Sunday brunch and the piano player was very friendly (gave my little one a souvenir bell that now I’m kind of surprised he wasn’t given at check-in or out.) Staff were friendly for the most part. Coffee and OJ were really good, and I was able to order a side dish from another entree separately. Cons: At brunch specifically, our reservation was for semi-private area seating, but we were instead sat right next to the kitchen. I thought maybe the section was just closed because they were short staffed, but then saw another group sitting there on our way out. I was surprised by the limited menu with more unique options than brunch staples. There was no children’s menu, so we ordered 3 full-sized entrees for 2 adults and 1 toddler. Then our ticket was “lost” by the kitchen staff and so we waited 1 hr 30 min from the time we placed for our order to food arriving to our table. When the food finally did arrive, we were given a small portion of the full size entree we ordered for the toddler and that dish came out last, which is least helpful; typically my toddler’s meal is brought first. The quality of that dish was poor. The waffle was cold and hard and the chicken tender was pale and dry. When our bill came, the restaurant provided the child’s dish complimentary, but the total was still ~$60 after 20% tip for our server who was kind and tried her best. I just wouldn’t consider the entrees we did have worth $30pp. With another option nearby for brunch where we’ve had solid food and experience every time, I’m not sure I see a reason to revisit this restaurant besides to enjoy the ambiance.

   First and last time dining here. Four out of the 6 of us had filet for dinner. The filets were not only cooked improperly (undercooked) but the steak lacked flavor and was so tough that you could barely cut it. The whipped potatoes were stiff and cold with no flavor. The vegetables were lacking seasoning. The side salad was the best part of the meal. Our waiter was very attentive and kind. He offered us a a free dessert but we declined. Such a sad experience for our family dinner. We eat at some very nice restaurants and I’m very disappointed in this experience and food. An expensive dinner that we didn’t eat.

   My fiancée and I reside in Parkersburg, WV. On Friday, November 29 we took our two close friends visiting from Michigan to Blennerhasset Hotel for dinner. Dinner was a disappointing and embarrassing event. The calamari appetizer was salty, rubbery and the breading came off in chunks. The oysters Rockefeller were the worst I’ve ever tasted. I’m 75 years old and have dined at some of the finest restaurants in the world. Including drinks and a gratuity of 20% the total bill was $360. Our waiter Alex was excellent! The food was disappointing and we will never dine at Blennerhasset Hotel again.

    I have been dining here at least once per year while traveling since 2016. The quality and value for food has declined significantly. However the ambiance and staff are great! I will try it again on my next trip.
