Thank you for your review and recent visit. I appreciate the chef can be on occasion passionate and this impacts his volume we will pass this on to him and I'm sure he will do better on this in the future. We hope to see you again soon.

As always, the food was delicious. Nothing is too much trouble - they always adapt the menu to suit intolerances. Service with a smile. Good selection of wine by the glass.

Staff were lovely, friendly & helpful but this time disappointed with my meal. £27.99 for basically 2 slices of Pork & chips and soggy coleslaw although the taste was fine ( except the slaw) too wet. We sat in the new outdoor space, the music if you can call it that was more like music to play the game musical statues…. It was constantly stopping and starting every couple of seconds😱. Won’t be rushing back

I paid a visit to this venue last year and the meal was great. Yesterday however was a different story. I booked brunch for myself, mum & daughter who was celebrating her 21st. On arrival we were met by a lovely chap who seated us in the atrium. I didn’t get the member of staff’s name but can honestly say he was the only positive in this awful experience. Looking at previous reviews on Trip Advisor l gather the manager is Darren and has the knack of trying to intimidate customers. We ordered our brunch and drinks and asked if it was ok to have eggs Benedict without the hollandaise sauce to which we were told no problem. I also asked not to have black pudding on the breakfast and there didn’t seem to be any problems with this until our food came and indeed had hollandaise sauce on the eggs and black pudding on the breakfast. When the hollandaise issue was pointed out the manager seemed a bit annoyed that I did and took it away to get it replaced. Myself and my daughter had to continue eating our food as it would have gone cold otherwise. My mums eggs then turned up with what I can only describe as dried bacon, a stale muffin - hardly toasted and bits of rocket to garnish. The mushrooms on the breakfast were as though they had been dipped in frying oil. Again the manager made a half hearted comment about the hollandaise issue being quite common because it came as habit to the cook to do that. Nobody checked to see if we were enjoying our food and so when we finished and the manager came back and asked how the food was I told him it was poor. He responded by saying that he had other customers “in there” that had said the food was lovely no fault with it and I was the only person who said that. He walked off as I asked for the bill. The other more approachable member of staff then returned and asked what part of the food was poor to which I told him all of it. He went to get the card machine and returned to say we didn’t have to pay. Funny that! This warranted a review.

Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate it. Again we are sorry you were disappointed with your brunch on your visit. Kindest Regards Darren

Can’t fault the waitress and the food, we had a lovely time! Just a shame we couldn’t have more than one frozen daiquiris each as the machine started playing up.
