We went to The Bull’s Head in Margate for a Mother’s Day meal, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. You could tell a lot of care went into the preparation, and everything was served fresh and piping hot. The atmosphere was just as impressive. It had a warm, welcoming vibe and felt relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Overall, it was a brilliant meal in a lovely setting. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a great atmosphere in Margate!

We booked, which is a necessity on a Sunday. We both had the roast beef. Very tasty & filling. It's nice to see they've upped the gravy content. Was plenty for our meal.

Lovely looking pub and the food was okay - better last time. But the service is lousy. The woman that looked after our table was helpful but the serving and bar staff are really dreadful. We had friends on another table and their experience was bad, too. A real shame as an injection of good, helpful and refined staff would make a huge difference.

We were seated at two small round tables at different heights set for 3 people, which wasn’t really suitable as tables very quite unstable, when we asked if we could move to a suitable table we were told it’s not possible. A table of 3 that was beside us became free so we asked if we could move there but again told it’s not possible as they were going to give it to two people that were a walk in, so the waiter then proceeded to fold the table up to make it a two seater instead of 3? We did point out that there was no logic in what he was doing but apparently it was impossible for us to just swap tables?? So not off to a good start and not good customer service. In fact, a table of 4 was empty up until we left, and as we were going I did overhear that it was booked for 3 people- the waiter should perhaps take a refresher course. Food was very nice but unfortunately there wasn’t enough. Plates were small and so were the portions, 2 small potatoes, two slithers of small beef and some veg, presented with a large Yorkshire pudding to trick you into thinking the portions are large. The food was very tasty though although side dish of greens were not cooked enough. The decoration / renovations of the place is very nice. I wouldn’t say it was good value for money It’s dog friendly but no water was offered for the dogs I’m not one to complain but c’mon, treat customers well and they will return,

Fab service and great food - the Sunday roasts were enormous but so tasty we found our way through them! Service excellent, attentive and friendly, and a great vibe for us and the kids for a lovely afternoon.

The service, food and ambience far surpassed our expectations - we'll definitely visit again. I would have given 5 stars across the board but the place was FREEZING, even the cutlery was freezing. I had to keep my winter coat on and nearly wore my gloves hahaha. The pub could do with a heavy curtain at the porch because the main door doesn't stay closed on its own or anything that might warm the place up.
