   The overall experience was wonderful, the chefs did a wonderful job and presentation was outstanding. We were not offered a drink menu, it took the server over 20 mins to even acknowledge us. Other tables servers were explaining the entire experience, the dishes, and very tentative. Our server was kind but we definitely felt we missed out on the experience, luckily we overheard the other servers and knew the meals based of their explanation to other tables. She never once refilled our waters from the personal bottle, we did it ourselves. While this is something minimal I wouldn’t complain about but in this experience, the amount you’re paying the server should be more tentative. We planned our entire holiday vacation around this dinner. This made it a huge let down for us.

   As always, an exceptional dining experience. The fluke was absolutely delicious (as was the carrot bread, and the seasonal pasta special). It’s difficult to chose an entrée because everything is fantastic, coupled with wonderful service.

   Our waitress, Julie Ro, was great: very helpful, knowledgeable, and we never felt rushed. Surroundings are elegant and the food is great as was its presentation. Highly recommended.

   It was a great restaurant you got what you paid for the service was immaculate. We had a gentleman actually even jokingly offering to drive us home because he saw that I was sort of tipsy! nevertheless I enjoyed myself. Highly recommended, I will say is the best restaurant in Rhode Island. There’s no doubt about that.

   The service was 100% tops! Food was excellent and presented as a 4.5 Star restaurant should. Ambiance, although acceptable, needs some upgrades to decor. Lasting memory will be the service from Karen(host) and Izzy(our waitress). It's worth the trip!! John & Carroll T.

   My husband and I had a phenomenal experience at the Chanler last night (and also 2 weeks ago when we came here with my parents). The food, service, and atmosphere were all impeccable. The oysters, celeriac soup, and swordfish were all beautiful. A huge shout out to Kevin at the bar and Dejan, our server who were both so kind and attentive. The host was wonderful as well but I didn’t get his name. We cannot wait to return!

   The perfect night out in Newport. Kevin was the person who welcomed us, and he set the stage for a wonderful dinner. The staff was courteous and the food was delicious. Loved the level of professionalism, and you can tell Kevin does a wonderful job of running a tight ship that equated to a fantastic dinner.
