The Charlesworth Restaurant & Hotel is a charming, historical restaurant and hotel located on the Delaware Bay in Fortescue, New Jersey. This historical landmark was founded in 1924 by Ruella Charlesworth and recently purchased by Syboll, Julian Krady (Chef) and Amy Munger Grabfelder. We are located on the water with a spacious upper and lower deck to enjoy the bay view and our legendary sunsets. We offer fine dining to locals and people who travel from all over the country to experience our Chef Julian Krady's fresh takes on classic dishes and desserts. We hear on a daily basis this the best food I have ever ate. We are extremely proud of that. Our host Syboll is known throughout the world as one of the most entertaining and warm hearted people. Amy Munger Grabfelder brings with her 30 plus years of customer service experience and has a genuine love for people that can be felt by all who meet her. We are excited to share our one of kind dining experience with you.

Dining at the Charlesworth is an experience not just dinner. The crescent moon was over the bay, George Perez serenaded us with his beautiful singing and Sybol is an amazing host. Andrew, our service was pleasant and very personable. The food was over the top delicious

It was my birthday and this was the perfect place to go. Sunday after Labor Day does not seem as busy. Everything was perfect. Greeted warmly and seated promptly. As always the food was excellent. Sunset on the Delaware Bay was beautiful. We love this place. While we were there we confirmed our reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. We have never dined out on Thanksgiving but look forward to this year.

Another delicious meal! Tonight we had crab bisque, broccoli salad, fried flounder (freshest ever and superb), mac and cheese, rib eye with pan sauce (best steaks I've ever had!), and green beans almondine. Best food ever. Always freshly made - no processed food here!

Excellent food... everything was tasty and served at perfect temperature at good pace. Beautiful view of Delaware Bay and piano player provided great ambiance.

Excellent food, great attentive staff and owner, great views of the bay especially the sunsets. Frequent this venue often and we are never disappointed. All appetizers, entrees and desserts are top notch. Highly recommended!!
