   Best steak ever. Can’t fault anything here .Only one bad point was we had someone with walking problems and we had a blue badge so we parked in the disabled parking. This is on a slope and no drop kerb to access it so you have to bump up the kerb into a slope. Not the best. Otherwise perfect.

   Beautiful place but extremely expensive! The food was lovely but massively overpriced which is a shame as would probably stop us going back. We had booked for the festive menu but got told when we arrived we should have pre ordered and I should have received an email which I didn’t

   A great find! We were visiting family who have just moved to the area and the accommodation and food was absolutely fabulous. We’ll be back!

   Perfect friendly service abd great ambience and special treats for friends birthday. Extensive menu with very good range for all tastes different from other pubs and all delicious. We’ll be back there very soon!

   We enjoyed a very nice meal for two on a Monday lunchtime. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly. The ambiance inside was lovely and the food was great. This was our first visit and we would not hesitate recommending the Chequers to friends and family. Thanks to the team for making a memorable birthday!

   This a lovely venue. The staff were friendly and professional. Service was great and we were not rushed through the courses. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal choices.

    We came for our anniversary and the staff made it so special, we had a lovely table, an anniversary card and a special surprising dessert. Those touches made it feel even more special. The food was outstanding. It was a relaxing atmosphere, the staff couldn't be more friendly. Would highly recommend!
