Once known as the “skyscraper” of its day, the historic Germania Hall building, built in 1878, in downtown Wooster is now home to The City Square Steakhouse.

Award-winning chef Mike Mariola and wife, Emily, opened The City Square Steakhouse in 2008. City Square promises a dining experience you’d expect from a big city while maintaining its historic small-town charm, and has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Steakhouses in America.

The City Square Steakhouse is proud to exclusively use Certified Angus Beef products for all steaks and burgers. In addition to steaks, seafood, and other entrees, the inimitable flavor and delicacy of Butter Cake – City Square’s signature dessert – is truly the “cherry on top” of the City Square experience.

We had an anniversary dinner here. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was excellent for a celebratory dinner. We enjoyed ourselves a great deal.

Amazing dinner as always. Both of us had the 5oz steak. Baked potato and mashed potatoes were also amazing! Drinks were strong and very tasty!

My wife and I went for our 10 year anniversary dinner. The food was wonderful, the staff was amazing, and the place was quiet and peaceful. I look forward to going back again.

Excellent venue and atmosphere. Appetizers and drinks were terrrific. Steaks were a. It overdone-not sure if this is due to their recent expansion (capacity), but still good.

We were seated in the new section which is so nice! Food was fantastic but did take longer than usual. Service was excellent, Lauren was wonderful! It was a special occasion and made it personal with a birthday sign on table & Lauren acknowledged it too!
