My group and I had a very nice experience at The Colonel's Club overall. The ambience is the greatest selling factor--the lounge area is particularly special. My biggest reasoning for not rating it higher overall was because of the menu not including any vegetarian entrees or even entrees that could easily be made vegetarian. I alerted the executive chef two days in advance that we would have a vegetarian in our group and that they would like a protein option (e.g., eggs, cheese, quinoa, lentils, chickpeas, etc.), not just an assortment of vegetables. When checking with our waiter, we were told the option off-menu was pasta with roasted vegetables. It is surprising to me that a restaurant of this caliber (and price point) would not have an interesting main course option, including a protein, on the menu, but even more so that something more interesting, including a protein, was not offered off-menu. The food we ordered was all very tasty and thoughtfully prepared, but a thoughtful vegetarian option should be included on the menu.

Overall the experience was very good. Service was excellent, atmosphere was top shelf. Appetizers were very good, French Onion soup was great. Entrees were not quite as good. They were not up to the level of everything else. Definitely worth another visit, perhaps at brunch.

Very cool place, not cool service or food. They are still working out the kinks because we sat for around 20 minutes before getting a glass of water. Appetizers and drinks were fantastic but the entrees were terrible. My friend ordered the steak and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Her steak was cold, and her fries were cold and stale. My chicken was cold, bacon was greasy and floppy, and the avocado was brown. (Even though I asked for the bacon to be crispy) A McGriddle at McDonald’s has better cooked bacon. My fries were also cold and stale. They brought us out fresh fries and had to re-cook my friend’s steak. The waiter didn’t bother to tell us the specials or ask about my sandwich that I didn’t eat and didn’t even get a manager to come by to apologize about the lack luster food and service. There were other waiters nearby that were so much more knowledgeable about the restaurant and the menu. Hopefully if I go back, I will have a better experience. I think I will avoid entrees all together and settle for appetizers and drinks only! Maybe just stick to the lounge area.

The brunch food was delicious. We got the chicken and kimchi gyoza, spicy but great!, the French toast and smash burger and monkey bread. All impeccable.
