The Commoner in Downtown Pittsburgh is open for business!

At our gastropub, we don’t distinguish between commoners and kings; we just want to feed the good people of Pittsburgh. In the restaurant, seasonal menus add a modern flair to classic comforts, complemented by a robust selection of local beers and craft spirits. It’s all served in an industrial-inspired setting in downtown Pittsburgh. Come and join us for an uncommonly good time.

Food is inventive and flavorful. I asked the waiter what to order and was more than taken care of with the salmon. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Staff is always nice and the food is near michelin star quality.

Great experience all around. Excellent service, creative and delicious cocktails and delicious food. Try the potato appetiser - it is one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. I can see why it’s a best-seller. The off-menu Hotel Burger (smash burger) is consistently one of the best burgers to be found in Pittsburgh.

Good day. We got there early with a reservation. 20 tables available but they told us we had to wait till 9:45 PM reservation. She told us to have a drink at the bar. There was nowhere to even get to the bar. I think the hostess needs a little bit more finesse.

Had dinner here before the theater. I had the sea bass which was beautifully presented and delicious. Service was very good and they were tuned in to our time line to get to the theater on time
