   Really good food with generous portions, service was really smooth and staff was very welcoming.The building is a heritage building and the decor is cool. Definitely recommended!

   I was so excited to try this place but I was so disappointed. I got the chicken tacos which had no flavour and as I’m gluten free I wasn’t able to get the fries. They said they didn’t have a dedicated fryer. They offered me salad instead to accommodate my allergy. I wasn’t informed I was getting charged $3 to change the side. The salad had no taste as well. My friend got the steak frites. The steak was tiny not the mentioned size. For $36 for the steak frites was very disappointing. Overpriced diner food. Despite living in the area I will not be going back

   Great spot for dinner. Food and service were great. Good beer selection. Amazing bar and bonus showed the Leafs game. Would go again.

   My partner and I had an amazing experience last night at The Commoner! We had been invited back after a minor issue a week prior, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make it up to us! Highly recommend the Fall Rum Punch and the Whipped Feta! Both to die for. We will be back :)

   Don’t remember our server’s name but he was excellent! We had the Cobb salad with chicken & the tuna poke bowl. Don’t know which I enjoyed more! And for a bonus it was 1/2 price bottles of wine :D

    Have been here a few times and had a great time. I’m not sure if it was because it was busy with the brunch crowd, but it was a miss for my partner and I today. Server forgot about us, his colleague had to pick up the slack and take additional drink orders. No table checks, no refills for coffee and 20 minutes to get a beer (well after the food arrived and didn’t even really want it anymore). Had to flag down the aforementioned colleague to get our bill after not seeing our server for 30 minutes. Would recommend not coming on a busy Sunday brunch. Food and atmosphere was great otherwise
