I have been ding at The Del Bar for almost 30 years. They renovated last year. The new and larger parking lot is a welcome improvement. Also, there is now an expanded area where you can sit just outside the old bar area.
I ordered the grilled halibut, a bowl of lobster bisque and a salad with blue cheese crumbles and sweet red french dressing. I didnt care for the pesto on th e halibut, not because it was bad, but halibut has a delicate flavor and the pesto was over powering.
The Lobster Bisque was a 10. Plentiful large lumps of lobster exceeded expectations! The salad was fresh and flavorful with large chunks of blue cheese. The sweet red french dressing was a huge improvement over the previously used orange and too much vinegar dressing they used in the past.
My wife ordered the Killer Shrimp with linguine. French onion soup and the pear and walnut salad. The vinegrette on the salad was perfect. The French Onion soup was incredibly hot! The broth was excellent and it was a very dense combination of onions and cheese. Be careful, my wife burned her mouth by trying to eat it too soon.
The server Burak was excellent. We enjoyed a bottle of Conundrum Red with our meal. Total cost of our dinner with tip was under $200.
