The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal in one of our iconic red leather booths, take in a beautiful evening on our terrace, or watch a sporting event in our bar and lounge.     This was for a quarterly brunch we do and saving the best for last the Derby never disappoints. Solid hospitality from the moment you pull into the parking lot, it’s gets even better since everything was delicious and it was a great day.

    We celebrated our special friends birthday with brunch a the Derby. A fabulous experience with baked Alaska for dessert! We will be back. Adam was a fabulous waiter!

    We chose to dine here on the spur of the moment. I used OpenTable thinking that there would be no tables available- I was pleasantly surprised to obtain a table. The service and food is always delicious- I am addicted to the Shrimp Scampi which was served with a delicious baked potato. My sister ordered the prix fixed menu of salmon which was delicious and my nephew ordered a bacon wrapped filet. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed a visit to our favorite family restaurant!

    The waitress was excellent, but the busboy clearing the dishes had no expression the entire time. When we asked him to help take a photo, he refused, saying he was busy. It felt like he had no passion for the job. The food, however, was perfect.

    Great food and a fun time! Everything was fine except the bill. We received a bill 3X the original amount. However, our waiter Michael corrected it!
