The Derby is more than a restaurant. Established in 1922, it has been family owned and operated since 1951. It is a grand museum showcasing some of horse racing’s greatest moments. Diners are invited to take a break from the rush of modern life and travel back to the time of George Woolf, Seabiscuit, and relive the excitement of “The Race of the Century”. We excel in offering the best meat and fresh seafood hand selected by our longtime executive chef that would delight even the most discriminating of taste. Some of the menu highlights include the Bacon Wrapped Filet, Delmonico New York, Prime Rib and Shrimp Scampi. We offer a wide selection of wines by the bottle and by the glass. Relax and enjoy a delicious meal in one of our iconic red leather booths, take in a beautiful evening on our terrace, or watch a sporting event in our bar and lounge.     As always, the service, food and ambience was perfect. Barbara and Kristi took great care of us, and bartender Sarah’s cocktails were excellent.My husband’s prime rib and my filet mignon were prepared exactly as we requested. The cheesecake and German chocolate cake were delicious as always. We look forward to coming back in June to dine at The Derby again!

    This is the second time I have had brunch at The Derby. The food and service were outstanding. It was busy today and the order was somewhat delayed but it was hot and delicious when arrived. I would definitely go back.

    This is was our first time here and we were celebrating our friends’ birthday dinner. Everything was amazing, the drinks, the food and the dessert were all top notch and absolutely delicious! Desiree is a fabulous server, she was very attentive, friendly and helpful! We already made our next dining reservations for our next experience and we can’t wait!

    Consistently delicious. Staff was courteous, friendly and professional. Jackie our server was particularly welcoming and hospitable. Love the menu and the variety of traditional dishes offered. Everyone enjoyed the ribeye, prime rib and lobster.

    We absolutely loved our waiter so much. He was very personable and communication skills were great. He took care of our every need. And the bus boy was also amazing. Communicated really well. Very polite. And super nice. Food was awesome as usual.

    Two friends meeting for a holiday lunch. We couldn’t have picked a better place. The food and drinks were delicious and the ambience was wonderful. It’s just a wonderful place to kick back and visit with friends.

    The calamari appetizer was delicious, very soft but crispy . The Classic Cheeseburger and steak fries were the best! We enjoyed the Affirmed and Iceman martinis. Service was great!

    We arrived at the restaurant on a very busy evening. We got there early but only had to wait a few minutes and were seated before our reservation time. The waiter we had was very attentive. The food was delicious. We shared a wedge salad that they split for us that was still a good sized portion. The main courses were so good and big portions, we all took doggie bags. It was my husbands Birthday and the waiter brought us a complimentary Baked Alaska which she lit at the table, nice presentation. I would recommend for a special occasion, they know how to do it right.
