   Really good food and service. Would only say that all tables for 2 are either against a pillar or shoved to the side of the restaurant and the staff don't allow you to take a larger table in the middle of the restaurant which is fair enough when they are busy, but a bit petty when they are quiet.

   We had a guided tour of Horsley Towers and then headed to the pub and had a wonderful meal and service there. I had the vege pie that was delicious and all my friends had different dishes and none disappointed.

   Went out with a girlfriend to just have a relaxing evening. Enjoy some food and drink. And we certainly did. Thank you for looking after us.

   The pub is lovely, when we first walked in the pub no one greeted us despite two of the men looking over to us and then returning to look back at the till where the main restaurant area is. we approached the bar to explain we had a booking and the lady directed us back over to the 3 men standing by the till, we introduced ourselves and explained we had a table booked where one of the men looked up and acknowledged us finally and pointed to the table. the food was mediocre and not worth the price, the mains felt very rushed and there wasn’t a period between the starter and then main we were sat and had both the starter and the main within 30 mins which would be okay if the food was good the desserts took longer to come out the both the starter and the main together. my partner had the beef burger and was disappointed when the burger appeared it was very small in comparison to the price and seemed to have been rushed another customer complained about the size of her meal, we ordered drinks a couple of times when looking to the back of the restaurant alot of the staff were in the back and one appeared to be stood on top of the counter, the staff seemed very distracted we had ordered drinks that were forgotten and we were never offered any sauces with the meal the staff were lovely but not massively attentive despite the restaurant being virtually empty.
