   Nice place. Too loud. Liked the environment. Our server was excellent, but the bar was slow (3 bartenders for a space only 2/3 full). The kitchen speed was better that the bar service, but we weren’t in a hurry. Good food variety. The pastas and the grilled cheese were all GREAT! We will go back.

   First time there and we had a wonderful experience. Our waiter Josh was amazing. The food was amazing, the Dj had the place Lit. Absolutely can’t wait to go back. Definitely would recommend to try!

   I found The Duplex on TikTok. I was looking for a lit restaurant for my sister’s 40th birthday. I seen that they had a DJ but was told that the DJ is there at brunch only. We drove from Wisconsin and the suburban areas of Illinois for no DJ. The server Josh was amazing from the beginning. The drinks were good and strong lol. Wish that the menu offered more of a variety. Appetizers were on point though. I had my grandson there, who is 2, didn’t have any food options other than fries. I would not say that this is a kid friendly restaurant. I did ask for a special birthday shout out since there was no DJ and Josh made it happen with another coworker, who was the star of the birthday song. Josh made sure my sister had a glass of champagne and a whipped cheesecake dessert for her birthday. Overall, this place is a vibe and I can see that it gets lit. I would come back with friends for drinks and appetizers for sure.
