   The lobby in Elm looked Christmassy which was lovely but the area where we ate looked like a standard pub . Food was ok but menu not as I remembered . We booked for an anniversary meal (said this in special requests). We’re seated in bar area near the only other occupied table with baby and toddler (no offence to them ) was a dark corner near drafty door , lamp did not work . Asked to be seated somewhere brighter which they did . Not the ambience I had hoped for . Was advised there as a large Xmas party in the original part of the building which had a cosy fireplace.

   Our meal was outstanding, everything was perfect from walking in to walking out Friendly staff , service excellent , food was amazing best food I have had out for a very long time .

   The Elm was a lovely find and the homemade chips were amazing! There are 2 lovely fireplaces but they weren't lit when we were there. Seasonal menu which is great. Very intensive whiskey list. A great night out.

   I went out for lunch with my girlfriend and our friends on Saturday and I am very pleased to say that our experiences were absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was also very romantic and warm-welcoming, the service was very good, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and very helpful with our requirements. Because of our outstanding experiences, we will be definitely coming back to the pub again! Thank you so much to the staff for all their support and excellent hospitality!

   Great lunch with friends, staff were helpful and the food was good. We weren’t rushed which added to the experience. Also helpful when it came to choices as one of our party was a coeliac.

   Overall a lovely dining experience. Food wise, we thought that the roast potatoes were a “little hard” but the rest of the meal was very good.

   food quality was good, but I personally do not think price was reasonable. Staff seemed low. I booked it as my wife's birthday treat and mentioned this on OpenTable and when I went to pay , I asked why they wanted to know if it was a special treat. The response is that we give a something special to customers. We did not receive anything special for my wife's birthday. When we left the place, I noticed there was a service charge, with no warning anywhere on menu or advertised. My wife said she did not care about not having a birthday treat, but she said that she did not feel particularly welcome, she thinks it might be because we came early. Would not go back to eat, but lovely area, so might go back for drinks to seat outside.

    Chips were not nice and the steak disappointed. My friend had a chicken cesar salad and there was hardly any chicken
