   An always-popular local favorite with great (and diverse) beer, lots of burgers and yummy appetizers. Save room for a skookie! (A gooey chocolate chip cookie cooked in a personal-sized cast iron skillet.)

   The service was amazing as always and the food was superb. I have never had a meal less than great at the Shovel. It's my favourite restaurant! Thanks to all the staff for wonderful experiences over the years.

   We always make a point of coming here when we visit. Nice menu, great friendly service. One of the best restaurants to attend if in the Rossland/Red mountain area.

   We have a place at Red Mountain and have skied here for 15 years. We had never tried this restaurant for some reason. What a mistake…We tried the crispy brussel sprouts, 2 types of tacos, poutine, and a pretzel. All well prepared and so delicious. The burgers look amazing and we wanted to try everything in the menu. We had prompt helpful service. I couldn’t decide between 2 fruited beers on tap and she let me sample both to decide. We will be back!

   So happy with the multiple vegan options listed on the menu. We tried several of them. The nicoise salad was my top 2 favorite salad in 12 years of being vegan. The balsamic brussel sprouts were amazing. The tofu that you can add to the salad and poke bowl was so great too. The server was very knowledgeable about which items could be made vegan, which made us feel comfortable. Any staff we encountered were all kind and they were attentive to refills, etc. We will come back here if in the area again.

    The best dining experience we have had in a long long time! Two of us has the "John Candy" and we both decided we had never had a better burger! My sister chose from the "breakfast" portion of the menu and thoroughly enjoyed her choice. We definitely will be back. Our waiter was the BEST ever! Had a ton of fun! Thank you so much,Koreann
