The food was delicious however huge problem here with communication and customer service. Booked for a Xmas work meal for Saturday at 4pm and had several emails with staff regarding the booking. When arrived was told that from 4 only chicken wings and snacks were available, this had never been mentioned in the several emails within which I was told I did not need to preorder and that we just order on the evening, Was told that they could ‘open the kitchen early’ for the a la carte menu from 5 but we would need to wait with drinks until that time and would need to clear the table by 7. This was ok so we settled with drinks to wait but were then told by another waitress we needed to come through quickly to our table so they could serve us and clear it in time for the booking. A sense from start to finish that we were an inconvenience, that this was all our issue/mistake and priority was the incoming table at 7. I raised all of this with the manager at the end of the meal and there was no acknowledgement of the issue at all, let alone an apology. He was clearly cross and frustrated that I had raised this and was arguing his point with me - that I should not have booked a table at four o’clock. I had to show him the emails from his own staff confirming the booking with no reference to a la Carte menu not being available.
Food was delicious so a shame the communication and service did not match up.
