    Everything was ok , service and food , but one dish/Halibut was brought out cold and they took it away. Replacement arrived after everyone in our party of 7 had finished. No mention on their part or service during the lapse.. we didn’t stay for desert.

    It’s always a great experience at the gage. The food menu catered for all tastes. I had plenty of vegetarian options.

    Food was good, waitstaff was nice. Disappointed that 3 dishes we wanted to order were not available even though we weren’t dining that late (8:30pm). Daughter 1: elk? Waiter: we are out Daughter 2: boeuf bourguignon? Waiter: we are out, but those are the only 2 things we’re out of. Me: Hawaiian tuna appetizer? Waiter: we have one left…no, we are out. Pretty disappointing but what we had was good. Out of everything we ate in 4 days in Chicago, the mushroom bolognese was my daughter’s favorite.

    Dining services were performed with perfection by Sara. We requested a specific seating location and were ushered directly to the designated space. It was an overall pleasant experience.

    We were seated right away. The poutine was amazing. My son’s steak was cooked exactly how he likes. The flourless chocolate cake infused with orange was decadent and a hearty portion to boot. The staff was attentive yet not intrusive. The atmosphere was cozy on a frigid winter evening. I will definitely dine there again.

    We ate at The Gage after seeing the CSO Christmas show. We walked 1.5 blocks from the show. The food was great. We had the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were excellent. I had the fish and chips. The batter was light. The fish was flaky and tasted great. Had a Guinness which was poured to perfection. We had a great time 👍🏻👍🏻
