   This beautiful and peaceful inn has the most amazing food . The entire place is made for you to be able to sit and relax and talk with your people. Always a treat to come here and eat :) the service is always perfect !

   As a Gilmore Girls lover, this was the PERFECT experience!! Staff was great, friendly, attentive, and service was quick! The hostess even brought us Gilmore Girls guides to Washington Depot and it was the cutest little keepsake. There are lots of places to explore the inn both inside and outside around the property. It is a MUST if you're in the area!

   The food was very good. The venison Wellington was really good - the venison was cooked perfectly, though the phyllo was a bit soggy - could be because of the delicious sauce. The seasonal soup is well worth trying. Specials should be mentioned up front as that nights special was not on the menu that we received. Learned about it after we placed the order. Otherwise very good…though a bit pricey as others mentioned.

   First, the hotel itself is beautifully decorated for the holidays, and the Garden Room restaurant has a lovely ambience. The service is warm and friendly, and attentive for the most part. However, the food was a massive disappointment. Almost every dish was either undercooked, overcooked, cold, or lacked culinary imagination. For the (extremely high) price point, it was simply not good enough. I would actually go so far as to say the price is offensive for the quality of food, and has put me off ever staying at the Mayflower Inn. It’s a real shame.

    The Garden Room was a highlight of my “Gilmore Girls” trip. The food was delicious and service was great. The design and decor was beautiful. They even provided a map of things to do that were inspired by the show. I will definitely come again.
