The Grafton Inn is a proud supporter of Vermont’s pioneering farm-to-table philosophy. Our historic inn and two restaurants in southern Vermont offer on-site dining year-round and feature locally-sourced ingredients prepared by food-loving professionals to create timeless, hearty dishes that will please any palate.

The Phelps Barn, originally a carriage house for guests' horses, provides a unique and rustic VT dining experience. Even the hayloft has been repurposed and renovated, providing an elevated seating area as well as our 8-tap bar. It is a fast pace restaurant with live music usually scheduled on the weekends.

If you are looking for a quieter space to have dinner or celebrate a special occasion, we would recommend our 1801 Tavern located inside the Main Inn. This historic space provides a cozy and elevated dining atmosphere. Within the 1801 Tavern you’ll find our recently renovated Pine Room Bar with a working fireplace.

    Loved the live music with Jason Cana. We went specifically for the music. Food was good not great. Staff was excellent. Place is beautiful.

    This place is the real deal in the heart of Vermont, not the hyped up ones to replicate it in resort areas. Love the ambiance, food and service!

    We sat downstairs in front of the fireplace in Phelps barn—lovely. Our service was excellent and food delicious. The butternut squash ravioli , char, and burger were all delicious.

    My wife and I had a very pleasant & enjoyable dinner @ Phelps Barn / Grafton Inn. The service, food & atmosphere (acoustic music & singing) was wonderful. Highly recommend.

    This hands down is one of our favorite places to go! The second we go in we are always treated so well! We are so blessed to get to go there! We love the staff and the food and the music! We try to get our reservations in early! :0)

    Fantastic service, excellent food! My wife and I love this place! The brussels sprouts appetizer is fantastic. Here is a must if you’re in this area! It is located a quaint town of Grafton Vermont and it’s a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy excellent food. Thank you for the wonderful evening!

    The brussel spouts appetizer had good flavors but they were not cooked enough, very difficult to chew. The other things we ate were good but not special.
