Everything was absolutely perfect! The food, the tea, the service all phenomenal. The Brown Palace Tea was everything we’d hoped it would be. All our favorite servers were still there.

We were seated at a very small table directly in front of the Piano where the noise level was too high. We requested to be moved and the hostess attempted to seat us directly in the hallway by the stairs and wait staff which we declined and were finally seated within the area of main seating. Reservation notes indicated celebrating a birthday, but there wasn’t acknowledgment. While the ambiance is beautiful, the food very good, I would recommend coming after New Years through the end of the stock show when the chandelier lighting is still up.

We had booked the reservations for the Holiday Tea almost a full year in advance. We had been looking forward to the “Brown Palace Tea” experience for a birthday celebration and for as long as we’ve had our booking. We were a party of 5 adults. We were gravely disappointed to discover we were placed at an “over-flow” *folding* table off to the side of the atrium in the flow of traffic. For $75/person, we were expecting the “full experience” of leisurely sitting in the atrium couches/chairs and sipping our tea with a full service tea. I was also stunned that for $75/person we were not able to choose our individual tea preferences. We were informed that we may “choose 3 teas for the table”. This was appalling for the cost! I also noticed that we were not served with the full tea service settings - tea strainers, serving tongs, etc. The wait staff was pleasant and timely. The food was very pleasant; but the whole experience was clouded due to overbooking of the restaurant requiring us to be placed at a subpar, overflow table.

Great place for tea especially for the holidays and for company in town. Although a bit pricey.

Not great! Food was awful and service was extremely slow considering it wasn’t even busy.

I've frequented the holiday tea every year for over 24 years. I had the worst service I've ever had. Not sure if it was because it was Christmas Eve, but we got our food a good 20 min before all of our drinks came and asking for champagne took at least 3 asks over 80 minutes. I hope this is not the new normal. It was really terrible.

High Tea in the Atrium was the best. Great atmosphere and Christmas decor, wonderful piano music and even better strolling carolers followed by the jazz combo playing Christmas tunes. Price was high but the experience could not be duplicated. That said, I miss the smartly uniformed doormen and found it took quite a while to get a drink and we were seated at least 30 minutes late. Also, the newly renovated Ellington's is disappointing with such poor acoustics and "all white" decor. Sorry to say that the hotel as a whole is no longer the best in Denver.

This was our 1st experience with Tea at the Brown Palace and it was fantastic. The hostesses, waitress and entire staff provided 5-star service with a smile and seemed to be enjoying their work. The hostess offered several different seating options. I know several reviews have stated poor seating but the staff was accommodating and happy to offer options. It was very busy but we thoroughly enjoyed the tea, snacks and cocktails. We will be back soon. Thank you Brown Palace for an enjoyable and fun holiday experience.

We always love our tradition of doing tea during the holidays at the Brown Palace. The ambience is stunning, music is a wonderful addition, and food is delightful. This experience though with service, was terrible. Our server hardly visited our table and we had to ask other servers for help when needed. Disappointing when you pay a very high price for the experience.

Thank you for visiting us Katie, we’re sorry about the confusion! Every guest has pooled service during the holidays. This means you have 2-3 servers at *all* times and not just the initial staff member who greets your table or serves your tea. We are so glad to hear you were assisted by other staff, as is the service structure. Your needs should be met by all who are working that day. Hopefully that clarifies your service a bit further. Happy Holidays!

Absolutely the worst night having tea ever. I have been going to tea at the brown palace for so many years but this will be the last time. Right in the middle of tea an man who appears to lead the band literally came to my table and began to move it while we were seated having tea and said you don’t mind me moving you over so I can make more room for my friends to sit by the piano. I’m totally appalled they he had the nerve to do this as we were in the middle of tea and he works for the brown palace and thinks this is ok. I’m totally appalled that we literally had to get up in the middle of tea and see our table being moved. I will complain to management. Completely over the top uncalled for.
