The Green Flash is an iconic waterfront dining establishment in Captiva, Florida. Come by boat or car, sit indoors or at one of our outdoor dockside tables for lunch or dinner service. The Green Flash serves traditional American fare with a distinct European influence. The kitchen uses only fresh ingredients, including market-fresh fish in all its from scratch dishes. The full bar provides plenty of drink options and the dining rooms and patios provide beautiful views of the water while you eat. Enjoy your meal as you watch the many pleasure and fishing boats depart and return from their excursions!

The Green Flash's menu begins with a range of starters like oysters on the half shell, smoked salmon, hot flash shrimp and mussels. There are plenty of salads and soups on The Green Flash menu as well, like the grilled chicken Caesar. Larger dishes include chicken porcini and pan seared diver scallops.

Strange experience. Waitstaff was pleasant but service was awful. We ordered apps and meals- everything came out at once and the server put it all at the end of the table and walked away. Never saw her until the bill which was also left at the end of the table. Food was mediocre and the place was super loud.

We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the dolphins while we ate but the food was just fair. The hostess appeared to be bothered by seating us.

Definitely recommend trying this restaurant. All staff were very friendly, great food and service. They do have a bar and with a full restaurant, it was very loud especially the table next to us.

So amazing that we went twice in one day - for lunch and then for dinner. Fresh seafood was amazing and able to be prepared several ways. Andrés, Ernesto, and Maddie were all top notch from start to finish. The only downside is that they don’t have craft ice for their cocktails.

I would say our experience was okay. Nothing exceptional. It was very busy so given that, I give a break. However, there were 4 of us and all of our dishes were lukewarm at best. 2 were first timers…not a good impression unfortunately.

I had the shrimp cocktail and it was a lot, large and at least six. Very good. My husband had escargot and said it was also good. The bread was soft and warm. Our view was OK. Service by Shelley W was wonderful. She was helpful and bubbly. We did have a reservation which I recommend for dinner. I thought people would be more dressed up but anything goes.
