   The restaurant was a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, servers were warm and friendly. The Open Table directions were not good. Upon following the link to maps in Open Table we found ourselves in a residential area south of downtown La Quinta. A quick reset directly through maps, and we were there slightly late.

   Another restaurant in La Quinta catering to the retirees that is plainly mediocre. Open Table also said there were no tables available at 6.00 pm and there clearly were. Blocking off the prime hours?

   Great happy Hour but even more importantly the dishes whether happy hour or not are great. Staff is professional and friendly. Always a good take.

    We sat outside by the fireplace and Fernando was our server. He was great and very accommodating! It was a special birthday dinner for our guests that had never been there before. They only ordered salads and tater tots and said there's was OK. I've been to Grill on Main many times over the years as a local, and this is the first time we've had a complaint. I had the cod fish and chips and they were soggy and mushy inside. My husband had the short rib stroganoff and only cou'd eat a small portion. He said it was absolutely terrible and he's not a picky eater. We didn't want to make a fuss in front of our guests , so didn't say anything! My husband asked for a "to go" box and dumped his dinner in the closet trash bin as we left. He was sick all night .
