   Bar atmosphere was good. Was seated before reservation time which was great. Was poured water and had to wait 20-30 minutes before flagging another waitress to take are of us. They were sold of of most of the food on the specialized valentines menu. Prior to us completing our dinner they were taking up chairs and tables making us feel rushed to complete our dinner. I don’t feel that I would recommend this restaurant to anyone celebrating a special occasion. Might be a fine night to sit in the bar but otherwise I don’t feel they were prepared to handle a large crowd. Second waitress was good and attended to our needs. Never saw the original waitress again.

   The menu was changed to a set menu for Valentine’s Day that was not mentioned before sitting at the table. The prices were upcharged considerably. We walked out right after glancing at the menu

   we were not prepared to only have four items on the main entrée menu. The prices were really high. We expected to walk in and have the same menu we’ve always had. My wife was extremely upset that they didn’t have the salad that she always got. She was very excited about that salad. there should’ve been some kind of poster information made that it was not going to be their original menu and if it wasn’t going to be the original menu, we could at least have the option of getting the original menu.

   The only reason we gave 5 stars for service was because 6 stars was not an option! We make this a Valentine tradition and are never disappointed.

   The Valentine’s night experience wasn’t up to par for this restaurant. We were seated in an event room rather than the usual dining areas due to overflow. Making the reservation via the OpenTable app, I didn’t see that there was a fix priced menu for a three course meal and had planned to eat my usual selections. It was too much food, not anything I couldn’t create in my own kitchen, and we spent more than usual on a disappointing experience. (Of note, one woman at another table had to exit the room, go into the rain and use the main restrooms. There wasn’t any way else to get to them.) To be specific: Tables weren’t set, they were somewhat akimbo, no view, chairs were being moved about because the four-tops didn’t all have four chairs. We had three menus, not enough, and the table wasn’t ready. I don’t enjoy posting a poor review, but my feedback would be that the restaurant doesn’t take more reservations than normal, which severely diluted the experience. I haven’t decided whether to let this one go due to poor planning or go back in the future. This night made me miss Dallas dining.

   Me and my husband went out for valentines dinner here and it was subpar. I think the appetizer was the best part of the courses. The risotto was undercooked and the fish was fatty. Also we were put in the wine room which was cold and we also had to walk all the way to the bathroom in the main area which was inconvenient. For the price of the dinner I would save my money and go to a different restaurant.

   My husband and I had a wonderful experience…our waiter was very courteous and added yo our overall great experience. We would definitely recommend The Grove!

   The food was very good as it always is, but I was disappointed that they had a special menu for Valentine's Day. I was really looking forward to their normal menu and nothing they had on the special menu was anything I really wanted. Plus, it was very expensive, way more than usual. Due to that, my husband and I wound up sharing a meal. Again, the food was good, just not what I wanted. I will never go to The Grove on Valentines Day again.

   Wonderful dining experience, service was a little slow & order was slightly off but it was very busy so it’s understandable! Our waitress, blanking on her name, was very sweet and offer a few accommodations for mocktails that were great! The beef Wellington was phenomenal! Should’ve gotten more of those. Brussels sprouts are a must. Salads are beautiful and tasty (Mexican Cobb is divine). Steak, potatoes and Mac & cheese was so so good! Very cool ambiance inside & a lovely outdoor area with live music makes the Grove one of our favorite spots in Tyler!

    The experience was fine but I feel like the food could have been better for the cost. It wasn’t terrible but I’d only classify it as good not great especially for the price. The steak was okay and the potatoes were good. The lump crab meat was delicious and my favorite part. While we didn’t really see the value in the food the service was fantastic. Our server was very attentive and had a great attitude and knowledge of the menu. The restaurant is dim and relaxing but beautiful. We just didn’t feel the food was worth it but overall a good experience.
