   The food was basic with no flare to the plating. I had to ask for butter to go with my toast. The automatic 20% service charge for a party of 2 was ridiculous. The server mentioned they get about half that towards a tip and the rest goes to paying credit card fees and labor. Breakfast for two cost over $120 dollars and it was not a satisfying meal.

   I came here because I visited in other cities. What I felt was very unappealing was the 20% service fee that I was told was not a tip but, to cover kitchen/business costs… which is the businesses responsibility. When creating a business & a menu, those costs should be included in the items sold, not put on the customer then expect them to tip additional for the server themself. 40% of the bill is an outrageous expectation.

    We reserved a table for two using OpenTable. At a seemingly open time, we had about a five minute wait while they located a table. We were quickly greeted by our server Kyle. He was super cute, friendly and knew the menu and drink menu well. I was pleasantly impressed with his service for our entire meal. I ordered the chicken stack and it was delicious, hot and exactly what I was looking for! My husband ordered the clam chowder and it was water and not good. He’s from New England, so anything less than a hearty soup won’t cut it. Would not recommend the soup. We also order the H rosé and JP brut rosé. This restaurant should definitely have a rosé flight because we wanted to try them all! Among all the restaurants at Orlando Pointe, it’s hip, young and trendy. I would return again just for the ambiance.
