The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.

We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this.

We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

    Fabulous! We will definitely return and also recommend. The staff were very attentive (without bothering us at all) and always helpful, polite & friendly. Well managed by front of house manager too. Fabulous ambience, really cosy and welcoming. Meal was wonderful, all three courses were top class. A lovely treat for a night away.

    Automatically booked the Hawthorn on our return visit to Haworth due to our great experience last year. It is warm and friendly with outstanding service, menu and ambience. Love this restaurant and highly recommend it. Book in advance and you won’t be disappointed.

    What a wonderful restaurant to dine in during g our visit to Haworth. Great location right in the centre of it all. Food was outstanding…as a self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, I loved everything we ordered. In addition to the great food, they have some really nice house cocktails…and the wine list is super…and fairly priced. Make a reservation…this place is in high demand…deservedly so!

    As always, the best Sunday roast for miles. Fabulous staff and service. Would recommend to anyone wanting top quality food along with friendly professional staff and 1st class service.

    What can I say this is an amazing little restaurant where staff are attentive whilst being unobtrusive. The food is divine and the atmosphere just right. A nice touch was a card a glass of fizz as it was our anniversary. It is the little things that count.
