My hubby and I went on a much needed date night. We decided to try The Henry since people had told us it was great. I would say overall our experience was just good. The restaurant is really nice with cool vibes. The food was good but not great. We shared the guacamole which was flavorless and Not good. My hubby got the braised short rib and it was delicious. I got the roasted chicken and it was ok. My chicken was dry and the dish felt like it was missing something…I realized (after we left) that my chicken didn’t have the chimichurri sauce that it was supposed to have on it! No wonder it felt incomplete! Our server was nice but seemed a little annoyed that we didn’t order alcohol. The server was just ok. Definitely didn’t add anything to our experience. After this date night, I’m not sure if I would even try The Henry, again, if I’m being honest. Definitely was not a memorable experience at all.

We like the breakfast/brunch very much! Dinner not so. At least in for our dinner, more than 2 times our food was ok. But breakfast, coffee and pastry are really good! Service is always good, too.

I’ve been a big fan of The Henry for the last 7+ years and have dined there on numerous occasions for birthdays, anniversaries, and weekend coffee runs, but it’s unfortunately lost its magic since Cheesecake Factory bought FRC a few years ago. Our most recent dining experience on 1/1 confirmed that The Henry isn’t the great neighborhood restaurant it used to be. There was a hair in my quiche - I know this is accidental and can happen anywhere, but unfortunate that it happened, and the avocado toast that used to have egg but is now just smashed avocado on a slice of bread. I still love the ambience of the restaurant and I may still go to their coffee bar for an occasional cup of coffee (the Go North is still great), but I don’t think I’ll be dining in their main restaurant going forward.

The fine dining experience was phenomenal especially on New Year’s Eve where we were all able to get our choice of appetizer, entrée, and dessert. However in one of our entreés was ordered a lobster plate with gnocchi which was good but the title was very misleading. I assumed it was going to be a lobster tail laid on top of gnocchis and vegetables. And it did not say it was going to be cooked with bacon. I do not eat pork per religious reasons, therefore was very unpleasant with my meal. Well, will would come again to try the other dishes.

We went for the New Year’s Eve price fix menu. They did a great job. The food was delicious and we had a great experience. I was impressed with the speed of service on such a busy night. Everyone was extremely accommodating and kind. We were very very Pleased with our New Year’s Eve dinner and can’t wait to come back to the Henry soon!
