Sadly, we arrived early for our booking, but there was a queue & some very unhappy customers in front of us. By the time we got to speak to a member of staff, who was very polite & apologetic, we discovered there were no scones, we had been looking forward to a cream tea & cake. It was extremely noisy & busy in the restaurant, so I explained to the staff member that as they did not have what we wanted, we had decided to leave & look elsewhere for refreshment.

Very noisy today again with doors repeatedly banging due to wind. Not a great experience. We moved on to somewhere else.

Booked a table for 5 one week before attending, and even confirmed on the morning of the booking. We we’re taking our grandchildren there to enjoy the Christmas event’s that we’re there that day.Checking the menu beforehand and was pleased there was a child’s menu.Arrived ten minutes before our 1.30pm slot and was very prepared to wait longer if necessary.Young lad was aware of our reservation and said that someone has just sat at our table (no fault of the people sat there as there was no reserved sign on the table that we could see.The young man went outside and bought in outdoor furniture and placed this in the walkway and thought that would be acceptable (no tables are there for a reason). We noticed a empty table a thought we would make do.We we’re then told no children’s menu was available on that day,Not wanting to make anymore fuss we decided to take a quick option as we were feeling very deflated after enjoying such a happy vibe outside with the Christmas choir etc,so we opted for hot chocolate and chips for the children,to be told that there was no chips being served today and only one menu was available. We decided to leave. We booked for a reason with children always helps. We we’re more disappointed with the level of the staff attitude “not concerned in the slightest and no direction from a person taking responsibility.

Good quality ingredients on the Full English, and well cooked. A bit pricey , but don't mind if it is good.

Excellent service and good portions. Staff were able to accomodate a seating request and even provided an extension cord for a business lunch.

Extremely disappointing- booked breakfast slot as a treat, then discovered no breakfasts during the week but ham, egg and chips and pizza available!? No table service as ,'short of staff' but 3 staff members and quiet. Poor value, husband settled for bacon roll - £5 buys you 2 small bits of bacon in a teacake. Coffees tiny and bitter. No real veggie options in anything so went without. Elderly customers sat at tables waiting for service and left hanging. Absolutely dreadful.

Whilst the food was good we were disappointed that the cafe was outside the pump house building.
