   The food is very good, but goes cool quickly as it is served on cold plates! The place would get full marks if it wasn’t for this.

   We both had the roast pork Sunday lunch which was delicious. Meat, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding was cooked to perfection. Definitely eat there again. Thank you HD for great food and service.

   Cosy inn with open fire. Candlelit table. Friendly welcome to our table. Well presented, delicious, three course meal washed down with good beer. Lovely evening.

   We had the burger and the pie from the specials. Both were delicious and the pie was a very generous portion! The pub had a lovely ambience and the staff were very friendly.

   First visit for many years. Welcoming staff!, lovely decor. I should have checked beforehand that the Christmas menu was available, completely my own fault! However having said this, the food that we ordered was excellent!! The ambiance could have been better, however that was only because they were not many other diners. We will definitely be back to try out other dishes!!

   Great local pub Staying in an Airbnb nearby and came across this pub Wonderful food and lovely landlady Going back tonight - my husband has been thinking of the mulled wine creme brûlée all day whilst we have been walking

   The owners of this pub deserve to do well because they have got everything right. Probably the best pub in the area.
