   My second time here, the first made me want to return, which led to disappointment. It seems they don't fully endorse their dress code so the formality of my last visit was lost. Through no fault of the restaurant, we ended up next to a group of drunks and endured their yelling over one another to be heard and a profanity-laced conversation. It seems the waiter must have heard them and observed their behavior. As a result, my 87-year-old mother was not happy with my restaurant choice. For a restaurant of this caliber, they hand only two Chardonnays by the glass. The choice was an oak-flavored Chilean or a Mexican wine. We ordered the Mexican option and it was horrible. I don't like sending things back so I ordered a glass of the Pinot Griggio for my mother and she said it was perfect. It would have been nice if the waiter had questioned why I asked him to take the two glasses of wine away, but he said nothing.

   It was truly a memorable experience. The service was outstanding, the building was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Personally, we are from Chicago so we felt the pricing was completely reasonable and cheaper compared to back home.

   This place used to awesome. It is still good, but the prices have skyrocketed! There used to be great value for the money, but I couldn’t bring myself to spend $70 for a 6oz steak. Even the cocktails works out o be almost $20CDN. The ambience is lovely, but the outrageous prices really kill the “experience.” There is just no value to going.

   Beautiful understated dining, wonderful Mariachi, outstanding service, great view, with wonderful squash blossoms, soups & dessert, with good, but not exceptional entrees. The service and ambience far outweigh the inconsistent food preparation. We have been coming to PV for over 20 years and The Iguana is the best restaurant experience we have enjoyed.
