   Food was good but not great. Grilled oysters were delicious. She crab soup contained very little crab but the broth was flavorful. Harvest salad tomatoes were not roasted as listed and the croutons were stale.

   Truly awesome and beautiful experience at the independent. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. We were there for Valentine's Day and the food was phenomenal as well as the service. We were so well taken care of from start to finish. Jen, the manager was so nice and willing to do whatever it took to make our experience very memorable. Thank you everyone.

   We enjoyed a lovely meal in a fun lively place. Our waitress along with the food was exceptional. She even gave us an appetizer to try! The scallops mussels oysters rock and short ribs were excellent. The wine recommended on the Valentines menu was delicious. We enjoyed it all! Told my neighbors today and they’re planning on going soon! Great experience

   Very elegant setting. We had a delicious meal and excellent service. Wonderful atmosphere , perfect for a special celebration.

   This place is a gem. Great team. Food was superb, front of house team was both very kind and on their game, and the chef took the time to come and speak with us at the table. We’ll be back—many times!

   We enjoyed our first visit to The Independent. Our server, Hunter, was excellent and well informed about the menu and special dishes. We’ll definitely go back!
