   Feels like you are on a cruise ship. The staff are nice . Decor is odd. Kinda like they told the designer we want to take an old school east coast neighborhood Italian place and modernized it which doesn’t really work. The back walls have digital back lit art similar to renaissance Works found in Italy. At any moment, the screen feels like it could change to The Little Mermaid . There’s nothing overly special about the food. I had the filet mignon Italian style that was cooked very well but over salted. would go back if invited, but wouldn’t go on my own.

   Everything was amazing !! We were there celebrating my sister’s birthday, we had a booth in the very center of the restaurant which gave us an amazing view of everything. We started with the charred octopus, which was mouthwatering followed by the veal piccata and lobster ravioli. All o can say is wow !Michael the manager came over to make sure we were happy throughout the night and also made sure she got a birthday cake with a candle.  This place makes you feel like you’re actually in Italy on vacation. Very very satisfied w our server and bartender as well . Thank you ❤️

   Had an early reservation so that was a plus; service was good, but as it got busy (super busy) service became strained. Attentive at first…then it dropped off. Squash blossoms were wonderful. We had a 4-top but the 4th meal came late and it was cold. Not good to serve partial dinners….dinner was returned to kitchen and it was fine but we were half way through our meals. Desert was very nice; wine list good. Very very loud. Piano music was nice but put additional strain on trying to be heard. We all rated it an 8. Would go back, but during low season.

   We decided to have lunch at The Italiano, to see if we liked it. We did! We will be back for dinner. My husband and I shared a calamari appetizer which was delicious. Then he had a salmon entree and I had linguini with clams, white wine sauce. Both of us liked our dishes and we shared bites between us. Afterwards we had cappuccinos and shared a gorgeous tiramisu encased in a chocolate teacup! All of the meal was delicious, the service was great, and the ambiance was just right.

   Beautiful if kitschy atmosphere (the animated murals are a little creepy but very Italian restaurant). The service is exceptional from the complimentary valet to hostess to server to manager. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre at best. The beef carpaccio was delicious and the grilled octopus ok but the entrees were either wildly salty or lacked flavor altogether. The cocktails are tiny and expensive. The wines by the glass are good and well priced but the bottle list has a 300%+ markup. We had heard mixed reviews and hoed for the best but with so many great options in Scottsdale, it is unlikely we will try it again.

    Always such a wonderful experience! Food is delicious, Michael the manager is fantastic, and if you are lucky enough to have Jennifer as your server , she is wonderful ! We love the Italiano!
