   All good apart that our table was under a music speaker making conversation and hearing the staff describing the food quite difficult.

   Food was good thank you I tried to use the App. No wifi in the building! Waiter said he would take my number and add points- not materialised Attempted to do it with the invoice- still does not show points Disappointing as I’ve been visiting The Ivy and Asia since they opened in Cardiff and decided to get the app Going to Guildford on Tuesday will try to use the app again- hoping for more success

   Wonderful experience at the Ivy Asia Cardiff. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. Excellent value for money on the lunch time menu. We will definitely visit again soon to try some other dishes.

   Came as a family of 4, 3 of us ordered the set dinner menu. Taking away the restaurant interior, fancy cutlery the food tasted mediocre. The salt and pepper beef steak with peppercorn was tough, it was a thin cut so why bother asking diner how you like it cooked. Some of the sauces/dipped is too 'pan fusion' probably using western sauces to try to create Asian flavours and failing quite miserably. This is the second time I have came, and remembered the food to be better first time. The food is not bad, just unremarkable for an Ivy Restaurant and rather expensive for the price. Service is on the slower side, not very attentive to our needs (water not being topped up, plates cleared but our tables are not cleaned, etc). The highlight of the meal for me and my 10-year old son is undoubtedly the very life-like adult-sized figure donned in traditional Japanese samurai attire standing in front one of the male urinal that greeted you with 'Ko Ni Chi Wa' as you walked into the male washroom!
