Enjoyed the evening, first time at the Bath Ivy and isn't the standard of others in the chain. Food was good but it's in need of some updating especially the toilets that were a bit grim.

Amazing time. Always have a great experience here. Their knowledge of gluten free is great. As I’m coeliac it’s very important.

I have been dining at The Ivy every Christmas for the past 5 years and this time was truly the worst. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful and thankfully our table was ready before time. Sadly the service was painfully slow and our 2 courses took almost 2 hours. When our mains did arrive, part of our order was missing and took quite a few minutes to arrive, which meant everyone couldn’t eat together. I felt the waiting staff weren’t very attentive and appeared to be standing at the service desk chatting. I even had to go to the desk to ask for another drink! Overall a slow, over priced, disappointment which is so sad, as I have had some great meals at The Ivy, in Bath, Winchester and London. We were very grateful to the kind waitress who removed the gratuity from our bill.

I took my family and partner out for a pre Christmas supper and I have been to The IVY quite a few times before in Bath and it is usually a lovely experience but sadly this time although the food was good the service was very slow ,not just for the food but pouring the wine for the table too was not kept an eye on and as we had 2 bottles we had empty glasses a few times. Also it was very noisy but made worse by the loud disco type music playing in the background which made it hard to have a conversation easily and a relaxing time. I appreciate that it is always busier at Christmas time so even more reason to have music that feels a bit gentle playing in the back ground.

Me and my girlfriend visited The Ivy (Bath) for our 3 year anniversary and we were astonished by how ambient the entire restaurant felt. We booked for 8:45pm and were greeted and brought to our table immediately. We ordered the coolers which were both delicious and ordered olives to share for starters as we had been walking around the Christmas markets prior, eating food there also. For mains, I ate the duck curry and my girlfriend had the chicken which were both delicious.

Once again before I arrived I contacted them to tell them I was gluten free and vegetarian and told it was no problem. Two young girls waited on us and both extremely rude and flippant. One even did an eye roll as she walked away stressing that I was gluten free. My afternoon tea arrived and once again VERY substandard. My ‘cakes’ consisted of two brownie bites in a pot. A pot of defrosted frozen fruit and a pot of frozen fruit with squirty cream on top they tried to tell be was a mousse! Utterly disgusting. Even the main one was missing the Battenberg. I don’t understand how they can think that’s ok t charge you £33.75 for 3 sandwiches, 2 small scones, clotted cream, strawberries, jam, 2 tiny brownie bites and 2 pots of frozen fruit.

The service was surprisingly not good for the Ivy. Starters did not come together and we had to ask twice when the rest was coming. Cheeseboard came without crackers or sideplates. When we complained they did take the Cheeseboard off the bill. It is not the experience we have come to expect at the Ivy.

We waited 35 minutes for the food to arrive. The gluten free option was disappointing. I think it was also vegan which is not want we wanted! The chocolate brownies were so hard my friend could bite into them. No one came round to offer more tea or ask if everything was ok. This was my 3rd afternoon tea in Bath and the most disappointing
