   Our family party of four enjoyed a very good lunch today and we appreciated The Ivy's token acknowledgement of our daughter's birthday. An initial drawback was that the app for identifying allergens was somewhat cumbersome and showed disappointingly few options to be gluten free.

   Really lovely lunch! Great restaurant. Really friendly staff, especially Marie who looked after us really well and was amazing. A perfect lunch.

   We love the Ivy, relaxed yet smart, excellent food & wine .. English / European with a twist.. but above all great service .. especially today with our man from Guilford..

   Excellent, as always. Beautiful food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. This place remains our favourite for a special treat.

   Had the most amazing staff from entry to leaving, we got there pretty late due to busy parking and the receptionist was so lovely about it! Before I could apologise she said “don’t worry about it” and was so accommodating. The waiters were very attentive and smiley making sure we were always okay at the right time! Food was served hot and the quality has definitely gone better !! Will definitely be back :)

   We had a good breakfast at the Ivy with my in-laws. The food was delicious - we had three eggs royal and one eggs benedict as well as a selection of coffees and juices between us. My father-in-law ordered an orange juice but was given an apple juice. It took a little while for this to be remedied. When we finished our food, we asked if we could order more drinks and some pastries and were told we could not because they required the table back after an hour (we had been there perhaps 45 minutes at this point). We did query this as, at the time of booking, I was given to understand we would have the table for at least 1.5 hours and one of my emails even said 2 hours. The waiter argued with us on this and insisted we were wrong and they were so busy that we could only stay for an hour, so we did make a bit of a fuss. We understood they were busy as there was a rugby match on but it took me showing him my confirmation email which states "Your table will be booked for 1 hour 30 minutes for parties of up to 2; 2 hours for parties of up to 4; and 2 hours 30 minutes for parties of 5+." He then said something like "don't worry, I'll sort you out", like he was doing us a favour. I would understand them wanting the table back had we not been asking to order more food and drinks, but it seemed a little mean to try and get us to leave after 45 minutes. Otherwise, a nice restaurant with a pleasant ambience and delicious breakfast food.

   It was all really lovely the food and the service . The only criticism was that they have taken the cheese soufflé off the menu .

    Really enjoyed the whole experience. The Taste of Autumn menu was really good value for money and tasted lovely too. Couldn't fault the level of service. Will definitely return.
