The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

Get your glad rags on and grab your favourite people to make this a true Ivy night to remember, featuring a bespoke set menu and dazzling entertainment. Enjoy three-courses with a glass of Champagne for £110 per person. Should your plans change, please ensure you give us a notice of cancellation by the 29th of December at the latest to avoid losing your deposit.     Wow, fabulous experience from start to finish. Brilliant service and absolutely fantastic food. The perfect way to celebrate a birthday. We had the beef wellington to share, it was cooked perfectly and served perfectly too! Thank you, we will be back!

    A lovely ambience, music is there in the background and allows for conversation. Attentive service throughout. Food was delicious and presented well. We were a little early but were accommodated at the bar so we could order a drink while waiting. A lovely evening.

    Loved it.. don’t go to the Ivy and think it’s “posh” it’s good food and service with “feel good” menu. Special mention to the service staff, Paulina and the short haired waitress. Creme brûlée needs to be in a ramekin and a crunchy top, not flat and sugary with a blow torch.. everything else is good.. see you soon.

    We thought we’d try the ‘original’ Ivy as it’s been a while since we’ve been. First impression was a bit off putting. It used to be that as you approached the entrance the doorman would greet you with a cheery welcome as he opened the door. We were greeted with ‘can I help you?’ It was an off putting kind of welcome. Other than that, the food and service were good. The bar seating was a bit draughty (aircon blowing in your neck) but it was ok.

    The dining experience was very nice, and we had time to chat without feeling rushed. The waiter was very attentive. The food was lovely, we had the set menu. It was lovely to dine in the "original" Ivy.
