The food and service were excellent as always, we really love the whole concept and it is absolutely unique for the area and a true gem. The service is without doubt the best we have ever experienced, we were made to feel special and all of our needs were catered for. Until next time!

A very enjoyable relaxed evening. Fabulous food, and warm service/ attention to detail. Have dined at Michelin starred restaurants and The Jackdaw should be fully accredited! And they know their wine /drinks matching. Love the fact that all spirits are Welsh. We will hopefully be back in 2025.

Substituting beer and a concoction for 2 of the expected wine choices was surprising and disappointing. That is hardly a “wine pairing”.

This was spectacular. The autumn menu is extremely creative, elegantly presented and altogether a wonderful experience, with staff explaining each dish and the wine pairings well chosen. Recommend as highly as possible for a fine dining experience.

What a gem. Fabulous food, super beverage options and a lovely atmosphere. The menu was inspired and every dish both delicious and beautiful . The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and professional. Would have loved to meet the chef to congratulate. We’ll be back for the next menu!

Our second visit (first in July 2024). The location and the room itself are excellent. From the reputation we expect beautifully crafted and interesting food. For us it veered too far towards esoteric (without a clear thematic connection) and not all the dishes succeeded in our view. The pigeon (larger presentation) was not received well by any in our party (5) - the texture seemed too fatty and the coating too wet. Perhaps this type of menu will always contain items that hit or miss. The fruit dish was excellent, and so too the breads. I have to say that the service is a little too supercilious. It could benefit from more emphasis upon the ingredients/preparation, and a less superior attitude. We paid $200 per head (all in) and we all felt that was a little rich for the experience. We have no issue paying that amount, but then the ball has to be hit out of the park. We will return, out of curiosity, and a love for the venue.

Our second visit and The Jackdaw didn’t disappoint. Excellent service and an interesting and delicious seasonal menu showing off the best of North Wales.
