Love the new menu, wife disappointed the chocolate orange tart has gone. Chicken croquettes is nicely seasoned and would be a fantastic filling for a chicken burger. As stand alone a great starter. Main course was Chicken roast. Come with mash, roast potatoes, carrot, parsnips and a good amount of gravy. You also get additional veg on a different plate. All was cooking well and tasty. For desert tried the apple crumble sundae and that was delicious. Another great visit and guests also impressed.

Lovely pub and staff, the fish and chips were great but the cheese board expensive and disappointing, we were also cold which spoilt the evening.

The place is lovely and so are the staff but the food was not great, especially since it’s on the pricier side. The garlic bread starter was lovely, but the main really let it down. I got chicken and leek pie which was apparently home made but it tasted worse than a pukka pie you’d get at a football match, it was dry as sticks and had no flavour. My boyfriend’s meal was actually tasty but it was tiny, a small starter at best. He got the fish stew which contained 4 muscles, some small prawns and 2 tiny squares of fish. He was finished before I’d even ate the chips on my plate. Very disappointed overall as it was his birthday treat and we left starving and out of pocket.
